ARCADRIVE, the pneumatically activated multi-spring diaphragm actuator, is used for almost all high-quality control systems in the most diverse industrial sectors. Not only have all currently valid guidelines for occupational health and safety been taken into account, but also special requirements for sustainability and minimization of effects on people and the environment have been considered.
The unique possibility to attach the positioner with integrated air duct and optional spring chamber instrument air purging leads to completely maintenance-free operation of your system. The instrument air is not only used to actuate the pneumatic actuator; it also purges the spring chamber when the actuator has been depressurized.
In this way, we protect your control actuator against aggressive and corrosive environmental influences. Our actuators thus offer you longer than average life cycles at the lowest cost.
Our wide range of actuators offers the right valve actuator – from very low to very high actuating forces. We manufacture our pneumatic actuator technology completely at our location, where we also develop and manufacture pneumatic actuators that our standard range does not cover. Be it versions for extremely short actuating times or particularly safety-oriented tasks. Optionally, the pneumatic actuators can also be equipped with emergency manual operator.
If electric and hydraulic actuators are also required, you will of course also be optimally served by ARCA in these cases.

812 pneumatic multi-spring actuator
The advantages of our pneumatic actuator in the standard version
The 812 series pneumatic actuator is identical for the functions “air to open” and “air to close”. This allows you to reverse the diaphragm actuator fail position on site in your system in just a few simple steps without having to open the housing. Thanks to this ARCA design principle, no internal parts can be lost and the powder-coated actuator shells are not damaged at the bolted connection. The proven rolling diaphragm construction is also protected against damage and contamination. Special plug caps for aeration and venting ensure the highest possible protection against splash water and other environmental influences. This ARCADRIVE multi-spring execution allows a very compact design. The pneumatic multi-spring actuator is also optionally available in stainless steel for demanding process environments, for example for offshore applications.

Pneumatic actuator with integrated air duct
ARCA is known for the integrated air duct and the backlash-free feedback lever. Mounted accessories such as positioners or solenoid valves can be combined with the pneumatic actuator in just a few simple steps. For example, the actuation pressure from the positioner is passed through the actuator yoke into the actuator without additional piping. Mountings according to VDI3847 are also possible. The complex and susceptible external piping is completely eliminated, thus avoiding leaks. Operational reliability and service-friendliness thus achieve top marks at ARCADRIVE.

Diaphragm and diaphragm clamping in force bypass
The ARCA rolling diaphragm is maintenance-free thanks to super finished surfaces on the housing and diaphragm plate. However, diaphragm clamping has proven to be decisive for the diaphragm service life. Our diaphragm clamping system with force bypass further extends the service life of the diaphragm significantly. The force bypass design prevents the maximum permissible surface pressure from being exceeded which, in turn, prevents the diaphragm from being installed incorrectly and being squeezed.

Special protection for the actuator stem
The stem feed-through is designed in such a way that it works permanently maintenance-free even in harsh and dusty environments. Dirt particles are reliably wiped off before entering the guide and the sealing element. This prevents damage to the sealing and guide area of the super finished and roller burnished stem and ensures maximum operational reliability.

If required, the pneumatic diaphragm actuator can be designed with emergency manual operator, or it can easily be retrofitted. With the emergency manual operator, the actuator stem is adjusted to the desired position against the spring force. The enclosed design exceeds all common safety requirements.

Double-acting piston actuator
With the development of the ARCADRIVE 812 MFI-DWK double-acting piston actuator, we have found a solution for the special needs of large actuating forces in both directions and very short actuating times with an extremely high switching frequency. The proven control actuator with its compact design, long service life and high availability was used as the basis. The interfaces have also been retained, so that the integrated positioner mounting with the integrated air duct can be used. The interface to the valve also remains the same, which means that retrofits or modifications can be carried out at any time.

MA pneumatic diaphragm actuator
MA diaphragm actuator
In addition to the single-acting version of the pneumatic actuator, in which the air either opens or closes, this series also includes the double-acting version. Here, when opening and closing, the air acts on the same diaphragm, which is coated on both sides. This diaphragm actuator can therefore be used for control applications as well as for open-close applications. Instrument air is commonly used as the control medium. However, clean water can also be used after consultation. The housing shells are made of coated sheet steel, coated cast steel shells or stainless steel. Stroke limitation and emergency manual operation are optionally available.

811 diaphragm actuator
The UMA 811 diaphragm actuator is an ARCADRIVE series with four actuator sizes. The stem is double-guided and the two interfaces are identical, so that both directions of action can be implemented very easily. Accessories can be attached via a NAMUR rib. Using a tightening screw, the spring preload can be adjusted individually to the required actuating force for your process. Various spring variants are available as well as optional manual operator and/or stroke limitation.

814 piston actuator
The series 814 piston actuator has been specially designed for large valve sizes with large strokes. The pneumatic actuator can be designed as single-acting, with the function air to open / spring to close and air to close / spring to open. Optionally, the actuator is also available as a double-acting version and with all the usual options.
